Serious and Organised Crime: a local response

| 0

Wiltshire Police are inviting partners to take part in a workshop which will inform Wiltshire’s new plan to tackle Serious and Organised Crime (SOC)

Date: Thursday 4 July 2019

Time: 13.30 – 15.30

Venue: Devizes Town Hall, St John’s Street, Devizes

Led by Head of Crime Prevention, Sonja Leith, and Detective Superintendent Jeremy Carter, attendees will be provided with an overview of the local context with regards to SOC and the new Home Office strategy designed to shape the approaches Forces need to adopt to tackle this issue – in conjunction with partner agencies.  We will also be asking partners to share:

  • A view of how Serious and Organised Crime is impacting on your agency’s work and the people you support
  • How you are working to reduce that impact and ensure positive outcomes
  • Your ideas for how we can work more effectively and more collaboratively to tackle SOC and the devastating impact it has on lives

It’s vital that the strategy is informed by colleagues from across our local system – in social care, health services, criminal justice, fire and rescue, and education.
